Can We 'Create' TIME For Ourselves? One Powerful Psychological Concept
by Dr. Ioana Popa
How many of us feel we don’t have enough time in the day to regenerate and do self-care? One of the most common complaints I hear from people, including myself years ago, is: "I don't have time." And that’s a valid concern, as there are so many things we want to do, so many people to serve in Christ, so many activities to get involved with, not to mention doing self-care.
But here are two unique things about TIME:
1️⃣ Time is the best equalizer in the world, as ALL of us have the same 24 hours in a day.
2️⃣ Time is the only absolute non-renewable resource, as we can never get back our time.
So it is important to realize that we are at the center of creating time. We are the ones deciding what we are going to pay attention to.
One way to save time is by finding someone who can guide us and model for us, which I shared in last week's YouTube—someone who has walked the path before us, so we can 'gain time' this way.
But there is another powerful way to gain time as you regenerate that I will unpack today, and it has to do with how God created our brains.
After working with people trying to change habits for decades, I’ve found the coolest tip that has helped me and countless people. This concept is fairly well known in the psychological world, but not always talked about.
Yes, we still need some time and effort upfront, but once we implement it in developing our high-level habits, it makes everything effortless.
In this episode, I will explain this psychological phenomenon and share a Bible verse to inspire you.
