2 Ways to Transform Old Beliefs, starting with Inner Critic and Doubter
by Dr. Ioana Popa
We grow up with many conditioned beliefs and stories, which many times turn out not to be true. In our desire to change and upgrade them, it is common to find ourselves at a crossroad: wanting to change our old beliefs with new ones, to only have a nagging feeling that they don't go away!
Then it is easy to feel a bit (or more) defeated and resign to the idea that 'things are just as they are, and I need to accept them.'
This is true for inner critical comments/beliefs, a sense of unshakeable imposter syndrome, intense perfectionism, self-doubting, etc.
And in time, this can erode our confidence, especially in unexpected moments, when we actually need to perform at a high level, either in our professional work, church, or home.
If this is you (or someone you know) - here is the good news! Old conditioned beliefs (and reactions) can be changed, once we understand first how they are formed.
In my 1:1 coaching and group coaching, we address this all the time, and it is so wonderful to see how my clients slowly but surely, shift into the true beliefs that God intends for them! Yes, it is possible.
In this episode, you're going to leave with the psychological understanding of how beliefs are formed and the steps to change them. You can do this too!
